As portas da percepcao (The doors of perception)
Gira em voltas (Revolve around)
A vista turva (A blurred vision)
Do olho do furacao (Of the eye of the hurricane)
Em meio ao caos (In the middle of chaos)
E ao tumulto (And uproar)
Mais vale o instinto (Biggest valley of instinct)
A coragem de espirito (The courage of spirit)
A consciencia para lutar (The conscience to fight)
E derrubar os mitos (And knock down the myths)
Mais vale um vulto de utopia (More valley is a figure of utopia)
Do que a presenca macica da realidade (Of that the massive presence of reality)
Que a frieza dos fatos (That coldness of facts)
Ignore sua objetividade (Ignore your objectivity)
E se dobre (And bend)
Para reconhecer o sublime do inexplicavel (To recognize the sublime of the inexplicable)
Pois, se nao e ai que reside a poesia... (Because if not, there lies the poetry)
Campo aberto a experimentacao (Field open to experimentation)
Mesmo quando a adversidade (Even when adversity)
Impoe a carne (Imposes the flesh)
O fio de sua navalha (The edge of the blade)
Sangue de propria lavra (Blood of my own)
Frio escorre em calma (Cold flows to calm)
Mas cobra alto (But charges much)
Pelas cicatrizes do perdao (For the scares of forgiveness)
Mesmo quando (Even when)
Ao alcancar a redencao (You reach redemption)
Ainda pesa nos ombros (There is still weight on your shoulders)
O pecado da ousadia (The sin of daring)
E nos resta (And we remain)
A tormenta de um furacao (The torment of the hurricane)
Desfeito em calmaria (The calm is undone)
Perante a forca do acaso (Given the strength of chance)
